Founder, Komatoro Ando, aged 28, started trading medical equipment at 1-chome, Hongo, in the city of Tokyo (actual head office location).

Succeeded in manufacturing the first aneroid-type sphygmomanometer in Japan and begins distribution under the name "Acoma sphygmomanometer". The product became so widely used that the brand name ACOMA almost became synonymous with sphygmomanometer.

"ACOMA Medical Electric Machinery Company" was founded.
Production capacity increased with the acquisition of its own new plant in Sendagi-cho, Tokyo.
- April, 1948
"Ando Komataro Shoten Limited Partnership" and "Acoma Medical Electric Machinery Company" were merged to establish the present "Acoma Medical Industry Co., Ltd."
The new head office building was constructed at the site previously destroyed by air raids.

Started manufacturing "ACOMA Trichloral Anesthesia Apparatus." The general-anesthesia apparatus was also completed around 1960, garnering acclaim as the first anesthesia apparatus made in Japan.
